Reorganizing – Membership Re-Newal APPLICATION & DUES

DEAR HDC MEMBERS
Every two years, the Democratic Party of Virginia requires a reorganization of every Committee in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and 2017 is that year.
On November 14, 2017 the HDC Executive Board met to approve our Call to Caucus for reorganizing and to arrange our Annual Holiday Celebration.
RENEWAL APPLICATION:
We need all members to re-new their membership by filling out the 2018 application hdc-membership-renewal-application 2018 or through this Google Doc RENEWAL LINK. You can Submit the online form, Email the application back to HamptonDemsCommittee@gmail.com or mail it to:
Hampton Democratic Committee, PO Box 342, Hampton, VA 23669 no later than Dec 12th.
DUES:
You can mail your $25 dues with your application or pay online at ActBlue Click to Pay Dues  (https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/joinhdc).
The HDC Bylaws and Party Plan also provide this guidance –
            A member or associate shall not be required to pay the dues specified in this section if he or she certifies in writing that such payment would be a financial hardship. This request may be made via snail mail or via email no later than December 12, 2017.
DEADLINE:
At the December 12th, 2017 Holiday Party, everyone who have submitted a complete application prior to the party will be voted into membership of the HDC. An Assembled Caucus will be held on December 16, 2017 @ the Charles A. Taylor Arts Center from 10AM – 11AM if needed.
ELECTIONS:
At the January 9, 2018  committee meeting the HDC membership will elect new officers for the 2018-2019 term (Executive Board and Precinct Captains).
If applications or dues waivers are not received by the Dec. 12th deadline, you will not have an opportunity to join until the January 2018 meeting where you will have the opportunity to apply or renew your membership but unable to vote for officers.

Hampton Dem Committee Call to Caucus Notices and Forms FORM DEADLINE 5pm 4 -17-17

Cancellation Notice:
The Hampton Democratic Committee hereby gives notice the caucus for the 2nd & 3rd Congressional District convention that was scheduled for April 22 has been cancelled.
The number of pre-filing applications received by today by the 5pm deadline didn’t exceed the allocated amount of delegate positions. Therefore eliminating the need for a caucus.

CANCELLED:

The 2nd & 3rd CD Reorganization Conventions will still be on May 6.

2nd Congressional District Convention announcement & pre filing form.

The Convention is scheduled for 1:30 PM, Saturday May 6 with the doors opening at 1:00 PM for registration.

The location for the Convention is Lake Taylor Middle School, 1380 Kempsville Rd., Norfolk, 23502.

3rd Congressional District Convention announcement & pre filing form.

The Third Congressional District Committee (3rd CD) shall hold a Convention beginning at 9:30AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Churchland High School, 4301 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, Virginia 23703.

This convention shall have three primary orders of business: (1) the election of the twenty (20) members of the Central Committee from the 3rd CD (2) the consideration of Resolutions to forward to the State Central Committee for consideration and (3) to conduct such other business as may properly come before the body.
